I've kicked the new wheels issue around too damn long--pretty much decided what I wanted last year, but never pulled the trigger...until today.Ordered American Radial Wire 40-Spoke Wheels w/matching rotors. Bottom line, guess I've been strugglingw/inflatedscooter wheel prices--crazy ****!Should have them in the next couple of weeks. I'll post some pics.
Good deal! Where'd you get them at and what kind of prices if I may ask? I am pretty locked into the Fat Daddy 50's and got a great price from Hog Pro.
I bought them through my local harley shop--they gave me an "okay" deal. The wheels run about $900 and rotors about $300 and some change each--picked them up, had a 20% discount coupon...you may be able to do better elsewhere, but seems reasonable...like the guys at my local hd store, made the deal.I'll send pics once I get them mounted, but in the meantime, here's a pic from their website. Spokes measure 3/8 dia, all chrome, rotors match/similar style.
I assume you have spokes on your Classic now? How much of a difference are these going to produce in aesthetics over your current wheels, if indeed they are spokes?
Ultrakla$$ic...Ihave the stockwirespoke wheels on my scoot now. Actually, I knew from day one, I wanted to stay with wire spoke wheels--but there are/were several styles to choose from.I wanted to shoot for a suttle, but distinctive look that still is reminiscent of the "classic" style--but more pronounced with a little added pop. For my money and to acheive my desired end results, these wheels willdo the trick! Not too many spokes--but the larger dia with chrome finish will give my scoot a pronouncedlook andprovidethat extra pop making her standout, while retaining a size and style that isn't over the topor too radical to the point of detracting from the appearance ofmy motorcycle. One thing I love about harley's...we all have different tastes and with all the aftermarket mods/options available,us ownershave a hell of a lot ofoptions/choices to choose from--like I always say....options are good!
