Default Big Wheel

Looking for input on a bigger front wheel. I am considering going with a big wheel just want input on what size. What I don't want to get into is having to cut the neck/frame to accomodate like I have seen on the bigger wheels: 24's & up.

What brands to look at, style, etc. I am fond of the big spoke style as well.

How much does the ride get impacted? Comfort? Turning?

Thanks in advance

I think those 26-30" wheels just look stupid on a touring bike.Yeah, they stick out and scream for attention, which is usually the intent of the owner. And I 'm sure the "you can ride em all day" crowd will show up soon. That doesn't matter to me, they look goofy.

21" is the biggest wheel you can do without changing anything. Check out our galleries as we have tons of pics of bikes with varying size wheels.

A 21" compliments a touring bike very well. 26" & 30" just scream "show" bike to me.

I have a 21" Hogpro wheel, and did lower the front 1" with Progressive Monotube kit. Rides better than stock to me.

You just don't see many big wheel cruisers up and down the highway, but you sure do see a lot in parking lots at shows.

Hogpro is a great company to deal with, and yes their website has tons of pics of every size available.

i'd like a 23", i would NOT go bigger though by any means, i think it looks stupid. the 21? is a standard "quality" upgrade, it's a great look and ride, the 23" looks a little cooler but it's not for everyone and i's use an offset triple at least
