It's a marketing strategy, I have seen many more RG's lately at most biker hang outs around here. They will bring them back with plenty of advertisement and anticipation and sell more.

Retooling is a BS excuse in my opinion. In my line of work, if we stopped producing a popular product for an entire year to update equipment and processes, we would loose customers but Harley has a very unique customer base and following.

H.D Rep. at Laconia H.D last month said do not be surprised if you see it come back w/ a Vrod motor. Not a fan of the Fairing anyway [ looks like a Japanese Sport Bike ]]

+1 - HD has been making the fairing for years with what issues?! They have the room and the cash to retool while still making it, as is.
It's all a marketing game!

Yeah, it's amazing the kind of repairs/upgrades/programming changes that can be done in a 7 day turn-around with the right people onsite.

I am guessing they will reintroduce it with the new water cooled head design which they have a patent on. From what I saw the radiators will be hidden in the lower fairing with the water only cooling the heads. Time will tell...

I'm a first time RG owner and shame on me for not buying one sooner. After having multiple different Harley models, my RG is by far my favorite. After some minor tweaking the handling and performance is awesome. Shame on MOCO if they don't continue them.

No one knows what is going on yet.
The RG and RGU line has been a very good seller.
What problems with the die or molds bunch of bs.
HD needs to make a big move in a new direction maybe not all at once but it needs to happen.
There is no one RG line all touring bikes are basically the same bike ,just different bolt on parts.
RG and RGU owners are a slightly different breed in the HD world. They did not settle for the same old same old. They were not against stepping out of the bat wing box.
It makes sense if HD is going to do something out of their norm then the RG RGU line would be a good place.
One Rg and two RGU and racked up a good number of miles on them

The rumors I'm getting is, the Sharknose fairing is out, and to be replaced with something a bit more like the Batwing.

my "guess" is, new fairing, more aerodynamic than batwing and liquid (oil) cooled engine.
