Startup question
I guess the question I really wanted to ask is if scoot is rolling backwards and I engage the starter are there any parts that are going backwards and now all of a sudden they are going forward by engaging starter.... anyone following what im trying to find out here?? bear with me...
Yes I follow you and no there are no parts rotating the other direction. You are in neutral and the starter ring isn't rotating.
Now IF you were in gear with the clutch let out which has the transmission engaged. And you were rolling the bike backwards with enough force to actually turn the motor in the opposite rotation and THEN HIT THE STARTER, NOW THAT RIGHT THERE WILL CAUSE A PROBLEM.

Just my bad attempt at humor! You will not hurt anything with starting while walking your bike backing up as you described. But I have to ask what the he!! does "chikinonachains" mean????
that was the posters "name" that busted my ba##s..... about "wrapping my thumbs around the grips" so I don't hit the starter button...that's all.... just busten em back
