Life is a fast pace, some more so than others. I have a 2011 Ultra Limited but haven't riden it since Oct 2012 .... 20,000 miles on her. I guess it's different for everyone. Some use them for bar hopping, others for touring, some for everything!! To each their own but I agree with another post ... they're saving the low mileage bikes for us!! Hooah!!

some people do have good reasons but some just have garage queens to say they have one , due to my job I mostly can only ride on weekends and did over 10000 last year , my wife's 04 Heritage only has 10000 on it although she did put 6000 on it in the last 3 yrs and had only 4000 on it when we bought it , she rides when she is in the mood , I would sell it but then she would get in the mood and I would have to go buy another one LOL

I bought a 2010 Deluxe in September of 2011 with less than 1100 miles on the clock. I proceeded to put over 16,000 miles on it in 10 months and then traded it for my Road Glide. A co-worker had a 2006 Deluxe at the time as well. When I told him my milage, he proudly stated "Mine's only got 3400 miles! I keep it in the house. It's like brand new!". So he averaged less than 600 miles a year and then sold the bike to ANOTHER co-worker who, in less than 4 months doubled that 3400 miles.

Now, I realize it's none of my business what someone does with THEIR OWN BIKE. I just found it odd that he would be boasting about how much he DIDN"T ride.

Never really question anyone's reasoning for ownership or mileage...not my business. Guess the better 1/2 would be all the low mileage rides on the market later down the road when a person wants to add 2nd...3rd...4th scoot.

I didn't say you should or should not ride the bike, it is yours do with it what you want.
I was just saying that I am surprised by all the low mileage bikes.

And, even riding just on the weekends would produce more miles.
