I have an 07 ultra. periodically, when i turn the key on, it creaks before the bike is started. Sound is coming from under the tank. Can't reproduce it, it will only happen once when it does happen. The sound is like a creaking blend door on an old truck when you switch from floor to defrost. THe only mods are a big sucker, basani true duals and a PCIII. Of course it never happens when i have my head down there and turn the key on. My searches have produced nothing relevant.
update:
After replacing the fuel filter and the tank half of the quick disconnect fitting, the creak is gone. I had to replace the fitting so I replaced the filter while the I had the canopy off. Still can't determine exactly what it was, I wasn't interested enough to replace one thing at a time and the extra work that would have entailed.
