I know someone on here has had to have had the same promblem hope some one can help me out. drained the tank to take it off an paint it. Installed the tank an filled it up with gas an it want crank now is there some process to reprime the efi. plugs are getting fire just acts like it aint getting fuel
you either have a block in the filter, or the diaphragm of the FP dried out while you had it out and it's stuck in the closed position, you need to elevate it out of the tank, and tap it with a screwdriver until it primes the fuel rail.
Once it does, after a couple of start and stop cycles it should re-lube itself and be fine.
Usually recommend replacing the filter as well, anytime you open the tank.
pretty shure the fuel line is engaged but ill give it a 2nd look tomorrow. ill check the diaphragm too thanks for the replys an help guys hopfully this will help starten to think it was less trouble to just deal with the old paint job.
Yes check the fuel line connection at the tank as stated above great little trick that has been played on some you can just disconnect it one little bit and she wont fire for sure.
If the fuel line is completely engaged then the next thing I would do is disconnect the other end of the fuel line where it goes into the injector block. Hold a thick rag over the end of the line and turn on the ignition switch briefly. You should get fuel coming through the line. If you do get fuel, hook the line back up and your ready to go. If you don't, then you have some blockage somewhere.
still no luck guys guess im going to take it to the shop tomorrow. im getting fuel from the pump to the caniester but no fuel is coming out of the regulator. also when i put the dash back on an tight the two bolts down it blows the pump fuse wen i turn the switch on but if i just leave the dash loose it want blow the fuse guess im getting a wire in a bind somwere wen the bolts tight down
turn the ignition on let the pump run, turn off, turn on let run..do it 4-5 times, it helps presurize the lines..make sure your lines are hooked up and you have enough fuel in the tank..at least a gallon..is the fuel line hooked up inside the tank, from pump to bung?
