How could the fuel pump be plugged in backwards? Doesn't the plug have some kind of alignment tab or slot so it will only fit one way? I've only had my pump out once years ago so I don't remember the little details like that.

the plug on the out side of the tank is made to were it will only plug one way but the plug inside the tank can be pluged in backwards
