Default different petcock

I just put on a fatbob tank and I believe it was from custom chrome. The description says 4 gallon capacity but it runs out of fuel at about 3.2 gallons. I am thinking that the tank is mounted at a decline and the petcock is slightly forward from where it used to be is preventing the last .8 gallons from getting to the petcock. Could try fabricating a different mounting bracket to try and level it some but that would probably look wierd and get in the way of my seat. So I was thinking does anyone know of a petcock where they have a fuel intake that would sit in the back of the tank? The whole reason I bought the tank was to get the additional fuel capacity and even spent a few extra bucks to get a new tank that said right there it was a 4 gallon. Thanks.

Default RE: different petcock

This is only my second posting so if the picture does not come through I will try and repost it. It is not a very good picture but it is the best I have right now. The back of the tank dips a little below the petcock and what I was thinking if you had a regular petcock that had the filter go straight up and then maybe it would have a reserve filter or even a 3rd setting (I had a Yamaha that had a third setting but I never did figure out what it was) that would have it take the fuel from the back of the tank. While I was going down the road it was running out of fuel and then I would have to hit the brakes the fuel would come forward and then I was able to go a little longer then have to do it again. It got annoying real quick. That and the fact that when accelerating obviously the fuel goes to the back of the tank and it would be nice to be able to grab it there. Just seems to make more sense to me but I don't know anything about manufacturing. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks.
