+1 on the Jr from Jafrom's. It's a great price and it works as advertised. My bike is on it right now (and the longest it's been on it since buying the bike in Aug 2011) because I fell at work and workman's comp has me still going to therapy and the doc to find out why I have limited mobility in my shoulder. Week and a half now and counting. I'm about to go nuts not being able to ride. But I have full faith that when I'm ready, it'll fire right up.

Like many others, if I know I wont be riding for a week or longer I plug in the tender. Winter time I'll remove the battery from my unheated garage and put it on the tender in the basement which maintains a temperature not lower that 60 degrees.

I couldn't tell you if what I do has any beneficial effect but it's what I think is a good idea.

I believe in them. I think they help, might now, I don't care, im convinced, im using them on everything im not driving, yall ride safe.

Apologies for the dumb question. You just connect the tender straight on the battery terminals, or do you wire in a semi-permanent connection point for the tender? I have to leave my bike for weeks/months on end sometimes so I need one of these for sure.

Connect it directly to the battery. I keep mine plugged in whenever its parked in the garage. Doesn't hurt if you ask me. I also top off my gas tank before I park it. Always ready to roll!

All of my motorcycles are hooked to Battery Tenders when I'm not riding them. The only time that they're not is when I'm traveling.

Now that I live where there's no winter, I don't use them anymore. I let the charging system tend my battery.

Most tenders come with a pigtail you attach to the battery and leave tucked up somewhere on the bike and then just plug in when you park.

Had the OEM sealed battery in my 02 EGC for 11 years, 80,000 miles. Kept a tender on it all winter, every winter. The wet battery in the 93 did not hold up as well.
