Would like to put batwing mini apes on my 2012 Streetglide would like to now if any of you guy's have them. And do I need to replace any lines or cables. Also can you see out of the mirrors?
I am pretty sure that you will need to replace your cables and lines. I have a set of 14 inch apes on my 2010 and had to extend more than two inches. I can not use the stock mirrors for crap now that the taller bars are on. Hope this helps.
Even with 10" mini-apes you may have to change the clutch cable, I went with a 4" over clutch cable with 10" Paul Yaffe Bagger Apes, you can use the stock brake line if re-routed. You will have to change the brake line and cables if you go with 12" bars.
You will not be able to use your stock fairing mount mirrors with 10" bars, might possibly be able to with 12" mini-apes.
If your bike is throttle by wire you will have to extend the throttle twist grip harness that is inside the bars, they make plug-n-play extentions, Eastern Performance has them.
You might possibly have to extend your switch harness for Turn, Horn, Starting with 12" bars, you will not have to with 10" bars.
Hope this helps!

I have the batwing apes and yes the lines have to be changed. Stock mirrors on the fairing were useless. Went with a set mounted to the handle bars which work great.
Many people have put the 10" mini apes on their street glide without having to extend any wires or cables. Most likely have to do some minor re-routing of the wires and cables inside the fairing though. Some will extend the clutch cable a little bit just to have a little breathing room. I personally put the 10" LA Choppers twin peaks on my 2011 SG and did not extend anything, just rerouted the wires and cables.

Hey, pswomack, the Yaffe 10" Classic Bagger Apes are on my short list (I like the Wild 1 10" WO578 Bagger Bars, too). What made you decide on the Yaffe bars? How do you like the wrist position?
Pretty common to install 10" apes w/o added wiring, unless you plan to wire "internally." I'm considering LA Choppers 10" PrimeApes and have seen it done both ways (internal vs. external). Don't mind seeing the wires so I'm leaning for existing wires on 10" bars...JMO.
I have the HD batwing apes , I used +6 cables and and Ness mirrors. There is a thread on here where a member used the HD Batwing apes and the stock cables .
