Default Completely remove grab bar / not cut

So in order to fit my new fender overlay, the entire grab bar had to be taken off. I have bolted everything else back together and all seems tight. Now the two rear frame ends are no longer tied together, and are not attached to anything. Where this bar mounted originally, it fixed the fender and frame rail together. Is this ok or is there some sort of bracing function of this bar?

I searched on this subject and only found discussions about cutting the curved piece off. I couldn't find anything about removing it completely.

Thanks.

There are brackets on eBay for $30 that take the place of the grab bar....
