I was wondering if anyone could help me some info. I have a 97 road king and I would like to install one of the new harley speedo tack combo the dealers are selling my problem is they are not for the older model bikes even though mine is fuel injected. Can you tell me what sensors including fuel sending unit I would need to buy and install to make this work. I know you can do it I've seen some excellent info on this site. Please help.

 

Curious. What brand of FI did the 97 have?

 

Ask the guys behind the dealership counter if they have one that works for your year and have em give you the part #....then go online and find one at a better price.

I believe the fi is a Magnetti-Marelli. At least that is what is on my electra glide and I believe they are the same. In answer to asking dealer about what fits is I want the new speedo just need to make it work. Need to know what drives the tach since I don't have one also know need fuel sending unit and need to know if speedo sensor is the same??????????

 

Gotta be a way to make it work that is what custom is all about. Get what you want not what is supposed to fit. Swim up stream don't let em get ya down.
