We had the discussion on what side to mount/dismount and why. I find when gassing up my 07 UC, gassing from the left is a bummer. The fuel tank lid and handlebar make for an uncomfortable method of filling up the tank. What is your preferred routine and why?
From the left so I don't have to lean over so far and can still see the fuel level as it approaches full. In CA you have to use one hand to pull back on the vapor recovery gizmo so gas will pump. If you just insert the nozzle, you can't get a full tank.
I usually pull up so I don't need to stand up. [8D]Seriously I don't pay attention I pull up to the first open pump and fill it, I don't pay attention to what side I'm on.
Pull up to the pump(my rt side)....slide the card....remove tank cap....set it on top of pump....fuel up...put cap back on...while never leaving the seat/bike...works for me....
I pull as close to pump as possible so that the pump is on my right( cause I'm right handed), swipe card, get pump handle and pump, never getting off the bike. Do not over fill.
What.....I have to stop for gas ???? No one told me I had to stop for gas....Mmmmm Better check with my dealer I'm sure when I left he said All I have to do now is ride......
LOL Always gas from the right side.
