Well, you can drill it anyway you want, it's your bike. I'm just that **** that I don't want it to look like it was done. I've never had any measurement issues when I've done it and so far I've done about 8 pipes for friends. If your welder knows what the hell they're doing you shouldn't have any problems. I took many pics when I gutted my pipes and mufflers, for some reason i'm having issues uploading tonight, if you want to see them send me an email to see if it helps you in any way.
How about new head pipes? I'm kinda leaning that way with a screaming eagle tuner and some Rinehart slip ons. Looking at a heavy breather as well. Basically stage 1 I guess. Just looking for a little less heat and a little more zip. Bike is a 2012 Street Glide.
New head pipe is 500.00. Gutted cat is free if you know a welder. Difference in performance, according to a Dyno Chart at FuelMoto, between a Jackpot head pipe(479.00) and a gutless cat (2009 Stock) is 1.8 HP with near identical power and torque curves.
