Hey, when it says threads per inch it means just that. Pushrods come with 24, 32, & 42 tpi. When in doubt, count. It will be pretty obvious. You can use a tape measure. Then you divide the thread count into 1 and multiply by the depth you want. 1/32 x .125 = 3.000006
Three turns. Get it?

I talked to Fuel Moto to reconfirm turns, preload, etc. Since I have the TW222, directional lifters and their adjustable pushrods, they do in fact recommend 4 turns and two flats which is .130. He actually said .130 calculates or 4.19 turns. At any rate, he said I'd be fine over 4 and under 4.5, so I'll do exactly as instructed. The .130 is not inconsistent with those on this thread who have adjusted "deeper" to ~.125 in an attempt to quiet the bike. I only want/plan to go in there once, so I'll add the Zippers tensioners and the Axtell bypass.

.125 is "shallower" than .130, not deeper. However, the difference is negligible . I originally adjusted my FM pushrods with the TW222 to the 19 flats recommended in the instructions that came with the pushrods. They were noisy but I thought, well, I followed the instructions, so it must be right. Now after 5k on the new cams I readjusted them to 4.5 turns, 27 flats, and what a difference. Much quieter now.

Sorry, your math is not working out for me. Isn't 1/32 x .125 = 4.0000?

Got it. He did say that anywhere between 4-4.5 was fine; I'm glad to have found someone who installed the combo-(222s, directional lifters, and FM adj pushrods). I might err closer to the 4.5 number, given your experience. I absolutely hate doing things twice... Thanks for the info.

Yeah, late at night (for me), a few beers, you know. Should have been 1/24 x .125 = 3.00006
