Not seeing the grief really........The dealership is going to correct the error at no charge to you right? The only issue is you have to go back to the dealer to have it done, again at no cost to you right? So use the trip down there as an excuse to put some miles on, have a nice lunch with your wife or gf and just enjoy the day out.

My Ultra limited came with security but I wised it didn't and I could pocket the money. To m security is a waste of money. If someone wants your bike, they're taking your bike no matter what.

You want punitive damages too? Get over it dude, they're making it right. You're inconvenience gives you a reason to ride your sweet choice of a bike all the way back. Sounds like a good day to me.

This is a common mantra in security threads, and they are right of course. But....
The same logic could be applied when considering if it is worthwhile to lock other things.
Why lock a cage, cages are stolen also. Why lock the doors to our homes, if thieves want to break in they will anyway. Why do banks move money in armored trucks when people rob them anyway?
The locks (security) slows down most thieves, most would be thieves might even attempt the theft in the first place. The same logic, not bothering to lock anything, could also be applied to people that don't worry because they depend on insurance for compensation.
