Just rode VA SR 16 between Tazewell + Marion, what a great ride. They bill it as "Back of the Dragon" + have a website with more info if you Google them. The 32 mile ride goes over 3 mountains. Marion VA is a great little place with plenty of reasonable lodging + dining. Best of all, yah don't have to put up with lunatics on crotch rockets passin you or comin across the centerline at yah. I traveled it N to S and nobody passed me even when stopped to take pictures. Saw 5 bikes goin the other way. I've run the dragon and this is almost as good + much closer.
Devil's Whip, Hwy 80 (16 miles of awesome twisties) drops off BRP a little further northeast of the dragon (close to linville falls) is incredible as well.. IMO much better than the Dragon...

WOW, Devil's Whip does look good! But, for me, this is much closer + I'd like to lead a HOG ride down there next year. 700 miles in 2 days is about as much as you can squeeze out of a group ride. Next time I'm further south I'll check that out.
