This years ride to TN was great. 78-97 degrees , only a few drops of rain. It was the first trip there with the sidecar. All went better than expected. I know the deals gap aka the dragon is not cool anymore , but still fun to ride. We wanted to push the rig this ride so we did. Most of the riding we did was on roads with a lot of curves . We had a really cool encounter with a Momma bear that flat out let us know it was Not visiting day at the zoo. Not the first time but this time it was very up close and personal at first. The reverse came in handy .
Took a few pictures after we backed away .It was on a one way one lane trail. After she made her point and we backed off we were allowed a good 10 minutes to take pictures of her cubs.
This is really cool. My dad no longer rides and I'm planning on renting a trike in early September and taking him up to TN. Any good routes we should take?
Glad you enjoyed your time over there it really is a nice part of Tennessee . I had a bear encounter one time over in that area, best to turn tail and not mess with momma bear ..

Depends on what part of the State you plan to ride. IMO there are no bad rides in TN.
I know it's cool now days to Diss the dragon but it still a fun ride and a good view. Any ride in the Gatlinburg area is worth while. Any sections of the Foot Hills parkway are worth a ride.
We had a blast on the dragon with the sidecar. All roads in the area are best on week days less traffic.
