Default Looking for a power commander map assistance

Just picked up a 2013 Street Glide. I had previously had a 2012 Road King. I took the Screaming Eagle Air Filter system and V&H Big Shot Duals off the RK before getting rid of it and installed them on my SG. I gave Power Commander a call and they said the same exact map should work on the SG since it's the same engine and everything.

Well after swapping everything and unplugging the O2 sensors as instructed I took it for a text ride. It was fine for about the 1st mile and then I could feel heavy vibrations in the bike. It's idling at 1000 which I'm pretty sure is way high. I can't find a map on the PC website that even has my pipes listed in the set up. Never had any issues when this exact set up was on my RK.

Any suggestions? I would just go get it dyne tuned, but it only has 40 miles on it and I would assumed I would need to wait until I had at least 500 miles on it before getting it dyne tuned.

Thanks in advance for any of your suggestions or let me know if anyone has this exact same set up and has a map I could use.

If what you took off the RK is what you put on the SG, the map should be the same.

If it only has 40 miles on it, I would take the aftermarket stuff off, break the bike in, then put it back on at the 1000 mile service. If you're still having excessive vibration and high idle issues, take it back to the dealer.

also, 1000rpm is not too high for idle on these bikes. if you go much below that, you won't have enough oil flow.

I talked to power commander this morning and they suggested a different map. I'm going to try that on my lunch break. Hopefully this fixes my issues.

exactly, I wish I knew how to get into my PCV so I can raise my idle up a couple hundred R's.....1200 is more comfortable for me knowing the oil needs of these beasts. It's not going to give you the potato sound even at 700 R's.

You really can't change the idle rpms with the PCV. You can with the flash type tuners such as PV and SEPST and TTS and others. As stated you don't need to go below 950 due to the cooling from the oil circulation.

1. Correct should be the exact same MAP its the same engine.

2. Vibrations after a few miles probably has to do more with the pipe install, recheck your brackets and be sure everything is lined up and tight.

3. Dont have to wait to dyno it, they can break in your engine on the dyno if you want to spend the $.

4. If you want to upgrade the tuner, call Jamie at Fuel Moto and see if they still offer the trade in on old tuner to get a Power Vision , then you could flash tune the bike, no more piggy back tuner, ECM gets to use the O2 sensors for open and closed loop tune.. And a plus is lifetime support for MAPS from FM and self tune feature (data log) wont need a dyno with a Stage 1 bike

After trying out the new maps as well as the ones I received from ke5rbd, I was still getting way too much vibrations. As XARAN, I'm convinced it is the exhaust as well. Got frustrated and just put the bike back stock until I break it in. I really want black true duals on this bike so I'm probably going to wait until I find the ones I want before doing anything else. I don't understand why V&H do not make the Big Shot Duals in black for bikes past 2009. That's what I really want on my bike.

If you haven't already done it just swap the exhaust and see if that stops the vibration. If it does I would leave the PCV hooked up as it will work with a stock setup also. The map I sent will definitely run smoother and have more torque and run cooler than the stock map. If it is still vibrating I would then take all the other stuff off and put it back stock and get dealer to fix.
