Default 95" Upgrade???

If you are looking at a used touring bike (05 Roadking) and the seller claims that the TC88 has the 95" kit installed, is there any visual clues to prove this? There is no paperwork or shop invoice to back up this claim as he purchased this bike used himself. Just wondering if there is any quick way to verify with any sort of visual check. Thanks

No. A back to back ride comparing a stock 88" to the 95" should tell. A compression test will tell as well. A 95" should show about 175psi CCP (sea level) compared to about 165psi (sea level) for an 88" in stock configuration.

I might be wrong, but the couple 95"s I've seen have "Screaming Eagle" heads - pretty obvious. All of them may not tho.

All depends on how the upgrade was made. Heads are not necessary to make a successful change to 95", but would certainly show that someone has put some serious money into the engine!

Standard 95" Stage II is upgraded cams ( mine came with S/E 203's,) and big bore 3.875" pistons and the appropriate download. (There's an upgraded air filter too.)

Nothing "visual" though. Pull the heads and measure the piston if you've gotta' know.

It's almost 30% stronger 85 hp vs 60 hp.
