adding CB to Street Glide
I'm new to the forum myself. Long time rider (40 years) just bought my first Harley last month. In the process of doing that, a friend of mine who was participating in my search decided she needed to upgrade from her Fatboy to a Streetglide. She will be arriving home next week with the bike and wants to start the process of moving her stuff over. Part of that is her J & M setup. We looked at the HD and both agree that this would be the ideal way to go but since she already owns the J & M for now and has just spent a s*&t load of $$ to get the bike she is going to compromise.
What I thought I would do is use the J &M automotive stereo adapter to wire into the rear output of the HK head unit. Then she could use her fader as a switch to go back and forth from speaker to helmet headset.
Anyone see any problems with my thought process?
That is my initial thought anyway. I don't remember if I was able to wire in the output from the JM to the HD unit. I know I was able to get the audio from bike into the JM but I dont remember the opposite being possible.

I have had the J&M on my '05 FLTR and there has never been a problem hearing the CB over the Stereo.
I looked into upgrading the radio on my RG, but, I already had the J&M, all it took was a few minutes to swap things over..
During cross country rides (or just out of this area) I crank the MP3 player (with in my GPS) and run that through the J&M headset.
