So yesterday I was headed up to empire hd they had some October fest thing going on. I noticed my GPS wasn't talking to me when I was already on the highway so I navigated to settings and hit enable nav prompt. The minute I did that my radio died and all I heard was wind and vtwin. I made a phone call and that worked but no prompt and no radio. Anyone else experiencing this?
Is your radio set for the radio and prompt to go through the headset or the speakers? Perhaps you have it set to the opposite of what you are trying to use. Go to menu and go to settings and check.
Nope volume is all the way up on promt. Also when I go to that settings menu now the handlebar controls only the promt volume and not the radio volume and the radio is off although I can change radio stations with no sound.

That sounds like how it's supposed to work. Maybe spend some time studying the manual?
