8" lrs ultra wind shield and the shields that attach to the bottom of the fairing cured enough buffeting up to 85mph for me. You are on a bike. You want to feel some wind, dontcha?
wind, yes... buffeting to the point my helmet rattles my brain... NO!
LOL, no bagger in my near future. Once my Street Bob is complete I'm thinking about a Ducati Diavel. Like I stated previously, I can appreciate why you guys enjoy them but they're really not my style. I will still ride with you guys tho.

Now you know as well as I do, they are NEVER done You have already rode one, just not the RIGHT one (go test ride an ultra) Wait until you throw your leg over one with a taller windshield, comfy seat, kick azz sound system and a properly tuned stage 1 or 2, you wont think its a snail then. You said you enjoyed the tunes? Wait until you hear one on an ultra with 4 speakers instead of the 2. And lastly, if you are nice, we MIGHT let you ride with us
I rented a SG a few years ago for three days and put about 900 miles on it while I had it. To me it was not any more comfortable and actually didn't give as good of a ride as my FL Springer does. The handling was great but I have a problem with not being able to look down and see my front fender (that's just me).
I feel that motorcycles are for riding, not riding on, that is what cars are for. I never once turned on the radio or cruise, both of which I think are better suited to cars.
I've owned a lot of different bikes in addition to my Harleys over the years and one was a big ole GW 1200 SE. It had a radio, cruise and bunch of other stuff and was as comfy as could be but it was like being in a car with the windows down. A SG isn't anywhere near like it was but still don't see the need for anything outside of a motor, seat, wheels and bars when I'm riding.
As I get older I'm giving in a little in that I've put a small windsheild on but I still get plenty of wind, just not as many bugs. Those bugs start hurting more as one's skin gets thinner.

Love my limited and Road king and dont consider either one a geezer glide. Both of my bikes fly and the 103 I have on the limited is one fast SOB, of course I had a lot a mods done to it but it keeps up with the best of them and I always get compliments on just how fast she is, just saying. You be on one quicker than you think. RIde safe.
