Actually, it was your state that developed the motorcycle emissions inspection plan, not the feds.

Whatever we've accomplished state-side has been un-done by the far east.
fukishima fallout map gives a good idea of how prevailing winds carry pollutants from the far east.
Think there is no no problem in the mid west?
I'm not an enviro-nut, though worked my career trying to get projects approved for construction. The people sending $ to the groups buying ads showing cute seals are funding attorneys that champion these laws. Everything we have done here is being un-done in developing countries. The millions of vehicles and small cc cycles located throughout india and asia (together with all vehicular discharges in the region and "former block countries") far, far exceed anything our country contributes.
The mantra needs to be changed to: Think Globally, Act Globally.
We here cannot shoulder the worlds problems.

I totally agree but no one whats to give up supporting slave labor, pollution and/or tyranny if it means paying more for imported goods. Of course that is why there are no jobs here and our economy/country is failing.
