Got an Electrical Problem - Need Help
Wally,
The HD part # for the screws is 1783C. I know that is good for 03's and 04's. You might want to double check that with your dealer/parts catalog for your 99.
Hope that helps.
Ride on, ride well.

Doug,
I'm curious about your front fender trim. Is that a RoadGlide fender? I've never seen that chrome on a Road Glide fender before. I'd be curious to knowwhat the part numbers are if you have them.
Thanks,
Mike

doch4m -
Just want to say "wow" - I was searching on-line for information on how to replace my shifter shaft seal. Read your threads on changing out your stator (and shaft seal), saw your pics, andwas blown away at how much time you took to document and share with others. I wish service manualshad half thedetail!
Great job - and thanks!!

Wally- (or anyone)
Do you happen to recall; if I wanted to remove the inner-primary cover, do I have to remove the stator/rotor assembly too - or does the large circular hole in the primary cover "slip" over the top of them? I am going to replace some of the seals (shifter shaft, etc.) and don't haveanymaintenance needto remove the stator/rotor. Hope I don't have to!
Thanks,
Rob

Flashr, no, you just have to remove the clutch, compesator sprocket, and chain assembly. The stator and rotor can stay attached. Although, if you have the compesator sprocket off, you might as well pull the rotor off and check it out.
