The detachable windshield onmy 07 RKC makes a lot of recket at low speed, I checked out the rubber bushings and they seem distorted, I suspect that this is causing the noise, does anyone know where I can get just the bushings without buying the whole kit?
check a good hardware store,,, where they have a isle full of them bins full of nuts, blts screws etc,,
usually they have a couple bins full of bushings,,, as we do at work.
The bushings are not rubber they are more like plastic. Good luck finding them anywhere else. I never priced them but they can't be much.
You might also check the spring hook doodads for the noise maker.
I had one that was looking a little messed up so I asked my dealer about them. He threw one in for nothing along with whatever else I wasy buying that day. So they must be pretty cheap.

I've played around with different types of bushings (rubber and nylon) over the years for RK windshields and Tour Paks, and have resigned myself to using the stock part. It is plastic-covered metal (looks like brass), and for both WS and TP would be considered important fastening points. I wouldn't want to trust a rubber bushing with the possibility that it might allow either item to lose its integrity with the bike--IOW, fly off.
Unfortunately, these are $5 each at HD, so we probably won't be frivolously replacing them. Like someone said earlier, this should be in warranty. If anyone knows of an aftermarket supplier for these, I'd like to know.
