1K mile service question
I did the 1,000 mile service today on my street glide. I bought the service manual and followed all of the steps. It was pretty easy and I enjoyed learning some things about my new ride. The one thing I can't seem to figure out is what type of oil or grease do they use for the clutch/brake levers and the hinges on the saddle bags and fuel door. Does anyone know what I should use and if it's in the service manual what page is it on. I looked a few times and can't come up with anything. Thanks for the help!

It's grease! Use whatever you have to hand. I have a pot that is literally decades old and it goes on everything. When it needs greasing next time I have plenty. I do however also have a small pot of JCB digger waterproof grease, a nice shade of blue, that I use on my foot controls, but there is no need to go over the top.
