My 09 has a intermittent blank spot in the throttle. It acts like the eng dies for a half sec then takes off. Then today I started the eng and it went to 2000 rpm be its self then came down in 30 secs. Any ideas??
had same type issue with the hiccup going down the road, ended up going to a from a pcv to a power vision tuner, the pcv fools the ecm where the power vision flashes the ecm, no issue since I changed. give Jamie a call.

I know a few of the throttle by wire bikes that have had problems like you describe and it was a bad throttle body. There is a wiper switch inside the throttle body (which tells the ecm the throttle position) and it can get dirty, loose contact and trick the ecm.

So can the contact be cleaned or replaced or do I need a new throttle bobby? My local shop told they had two 09s waiting on throttle body's and they were on back order till sept 25.
Definitely check w/Fuel Moto on the PCV tune/map, but there's also a possibility tour TPS connection needs a tweak. Reach behind your intake (Left-side) & unplug the TPS connector...clean, grease (dielectric) and re-connect.

They are considered non serviceable. But if you are comfortable popping the clips off and removing the cover you could try cleaning the contacts with alcohol. Make sure you don't mess with the gear orientation.
