Trying to find an amp that fits in the fairing and for a decent price has been a challenge. Does anyone have an AMP there using that they didn't spend $400-$500 on and is workingfor you?

I am not audio expert or even close so maybe some who is could explain the specs and if they are false. I bought their system but have not really tried it out at speed yet because of the weather.

Before Ultrasound was complete--I looked around hard for a "off the shelf" amp that would work--and the one offered in the above link is one I tested. I had a buddy with a 2000 FLHTC who bought the Dragonfly pods, and I hooked him up with a decent pair of 6.5" speakers. The radio was running his front (Hogtunes) and the amp was running the 6.5" rears--he couldnt hear them at all-even with the bike off--they were hard to hear. I took the amp out and put it on my bench, and at 4 ohms, with 12.5v in it made 7 (yes SEVEN) watts per channel before it went to "hard clip". This amp is available under any name you want--buy 500 of them, and the factory will do any colour heatsink you want, with any silk screen on it you want. The amp I tested was under a different name, and was Red--but its the same amp for sure. Oh--and the one I tested said it was 40 watts per channel........
As a vendor, I wasnt sure I should post my findings. As a forum member (which I was WAYYYY before Hogtunes started) I felt its my duty to fellow members to share. I guess its like my old saying."Watts are like horsepower--everyone thinks they have lots, and its easy to lie about"
