Just an FYI - we have yet to have anyone take one of our secured products. There are way too many easy to steal, unsecured saddlebags, seats, detachable windshields, sissy bars, tour packs, etc. out there for a thief to worry about which security torx they may need. It would be nice if our sales of our products rivaled the amount of sales of the Harleys and accessories out there - but a good comparison would be pennies as compared to 100's of thousands to put it in perspective.
Your eBay page is telling me it is going to be $14 to ship a screw, plastic washers and a bit to Canada. That's ridiculous. Even to send to a US address is $4. They run out of envelopes and stamps where you are based? Guess I will be using the local hardware store.

Sorry, but that is ugly. I have the Brukus security screw on mine which makes it slightly less convenient to steal. And that's all you need. If a determined thief want your stuff, they will get it. All you can hope is that yours is more work than the other bikes available and the opportunistic thief will therefore go to them. It's like the old joke about two guys encountering a bear in the woods. One starts to run and the other says, "What are you doing? You can't outrun a bear!" They other guy responds, "I don't HAVE to outrun the bear. I only have to outrun YOU!"

You can outrun the other guy with the Brukus system and don't need put some clunky lock on your bike.

Sorry...sorry, but anyone who seriously thinks these "so called" security screws are - secure = wrong. Yes I invested in a set for my FLHX to secure the bags and don't think anyone really wants my stock HD seat, but if you've invested good coin into custom seat(s) the Gordon lock is probably the best protection on market. I don't have one and don't know the vendor from squat (saw in m/c mag) & thought it might be helpful.

For those with the secure torx...next time your'e in public men's crapper - take a look at screws securing panels to walls...look familiar. Pretty much any plumber can get your torx off & needle-nose pliers works too...

Just pull your seat off when you stop somewhere. lolol..
Oh, but then someone might steal your battery?
Oh, but then someone might steal your bike?

Maybe you should think about putting on a good and loud alarm system and then maybe a lo-jack?

How much $$$$$$$ you got to spend?

What ever kind of screw you guys go with, here's a tip:
On top of the screw, where what ever kind of driver goes in,
carefully fill the insertion hole with RTV Silicone, and smooth over.
Keeps water out, and best of all, lets you know if someone has tried to monkey around with your seat!
Just use a pointed blade tip, or scrape it off with your nail to remove if you ever need the seat off.
If carefully done, the casual observer will not notice, and the thief will not know right away what kind of tool is required, all taking a little more of his time and improving your chances of an "AH HAA - WHAT'S THAT DUDE DOING TO MY BIKE!".
I have done this for years on outside lock hasps to let me know if something has been fooled with...

interesting debates here. not sure how the lockdown works. does the shell attach to the seat? i watched their video a couple of times but was confused as it seems to cover the screw but i couldn't figure out how the barrel/lock process worked. i agree that if someone really wants something, not much is going to prevent them from doing it. i recently purchased a day-long from russell which was worth evey penny.....never really thought much about securing the seat until this post.

I bought a #14 Spanner bolt from Ace. But they do not have the bit to remove it had to order it from a tool specialty store. Makes it a little bit harder to get the right tool. Slows down a common thief but as other people said if someone wants it they will destroy the bike to get it.
