Without wading through 46 pages, can one of you guys who's done this post a complete list of part numbers (and maybe add them to the original post so that it's easy to reference for people wanting to do this)?
My wife and I sat on a 2014 CVO Limited and decided then and there that we wanted that seat and backrest. That means a new TP with lights, luggage rack, and speaker pods. I don't care whether or not it's detachable.
What modifications are required to fit the 14 tour pack on the 09 - 13 detachable tour rack.
You just have to drill holes in your 09'-13' rack to match the bolt pattern of the 14' TP. The 14' tour-pak mounting plate that is inside the tour-pak has the threaded studs built in and they stick out of the bottom.
I have a 2014 Mysterious Red Sunglo Street Glide Special. (First Harley EVER. )There's a lot of good info I wish I had read 2 weeks ago before I ordered my King Tour Pack.
Could some one verify I also ordered the right stuff. My figures are crossed.
53000377DSX, King Tour-Pak
52300312, King Tour-Pak Backrest
90300030, Lock
52300131, 4 Point Docking Hardware Kit
53000221, Detachable 2-Up Tour-Pak Mounting Rack
93300072, King Tour-Pak Travel Pack
10200062, 2 screws
Am I I missing anything?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
Confusion / question .... why do you need the docking hardware? My husband has a 2014 Street Glide (NOT the special), and is considering a tourpak, but he was under the impression the docking hardware is already on the 2014 models? AND, in fact can't seem to find a tour pak that will fit a 2014 Street Glide.
Can someone clarify what he needs, should be looking for? Thanks.
Still have to purchase 4 point docking kit specifically for 2014 and up. Old one style wont work.
I had used the chopped tourpak off my 2012 bike. Just had to raise it up about 1/2" to clear the bag lids for opening. Had to wait 3 months for the new style chopped tourpak last fall.
The 2014 tourpak rack sits a little higher to clear the bag lids.

The Street Glide DOES NOT come with the docking hardware on the bike from the factory. Although the dealer may have put it on before he bought it. He would know if it was on there...kinda hard to miss. If he can't find the 2014 Tour Pak, he isn't looking very hard. The part numbers are all over this thread....it has to be ordered.

Well yeah - he's looking at SOMETHING that he says is docking hardware! It's brand new, no previous owner, and I cant imagine the dealer putting it on for no reason ? But who knows, lol!
As for the tour pack, the only one on the Harley site is the leather one, and a smooth one that kind of looks like leather or some other material. No just gloss black one. I looked too. Unless we are BOTH blind, and again ... who knows !

My bike had single point docking hardware on it when I bought it. I didn't pay for it or ask for it to be put on but it was there...so they might have put it on before they put it on the the floor...it happens.
The part number for the Vivid Black King Tour Pak is 53000399DH ( just black no pin stripe). You need to get a Parts & Accessories catalog as not all the parts are on the HD web page.
If he has the docking hardwear...and like I said, kinda hard to miss, all he needs to get is the Tour Pak, detachable rack, key matched barrel lock and two screws, back rest, and I would recommended the Tour Pak liner. All the part numbers are listed in the very first post in this thread.
Everything will have to be ordered from a dealer or one of the online discounters of your choice.
It is wider so you might want to take that into consideration. I believe it's about 4 inches.
So that is 2" on each side. It works very well as I have had it mocked-up on my bike. It is at my painter's now and I will post some pics when I get it back.
