Hey longrides, I am looking to put the 2014 led lightbar on my new tourpak. I have the part numbers for the light and wiring harness. How did you end up matching the harness from the tourpak to the existing harness coming back? I am assuming your bike is pre 2014?
Mine is a 2013 RGC. I debated long and hard about doing the wiring. I bought the plug that matched the light plug on the LED light bar and purchased the matching harness HD which had the radio and cb wires in it. I don't use those (radio/cb) since I have an hidden antenna so I tucked them under the plate on the bottom of the tourpak. I was going to grab run/brake at the accessory plug under the seat and then turn I would have to get from the turn signal wires. I couldn't locate a decent molex crimper ($$$) and wanted to get the light up and running quickly so I ended up taking it to the dealer and he soldered it in near the main wiring harness. I have one plug now for the detach which I hide under the seat strap when not it use and I get run/brake/turn. I've since added plasma rods which I wire into the wires under the left side panel.
If you want to do it yourself it would be fairly easy with the right plug (matching the tour pak ligt). If you have a tri bar light SG RG you can get tap into everything there and bring it up to one plug.
I already have the detachable tourpak set up. I have a 13 Ultra Limited and I don't use the rear speakers or antennas. I use xm radio only. So I have the harness coming back from under the seat but i know the plug will not match the led harness. I think the harness for the led is 69200131. I don't have the tri bar light but i do have the fender tip run/brake light.

I believe there are 5 wires coming from the LED tourpak light.... they would be run/brake/Lturn, right turn, ground. Just locate a convenient place to grab those then route it to a the 5 prong plug...
I bought the grommet from HD and routed the wires out the right side of the TP with about a 8" group of wires and plug. I went to:
doing the same set up on my 2014 streetglide special.having all kind of problems with template and wiring have all kind of harness still doesn't work can u give me yell if u get it on your bike? thanks Jim from wv
The question was raised a number of posts ago about mounting the new tour packs on older hardware mainly 08 and lower but never addressed. If you can buy just the box I can't see why you couldn't mount it to existing hardware. The bottom of the box appears to be flat so there are no mounting pads to contend with only screw locations which have to be accommodated. I would think that altering the tour packs holes to fit the hardware is the way to go so that the chrome integrity is not compromised. I'd like to hear of anyone either doing this or the research to get it done. Thanks
Well it's on as well as a set of ebay lowers. The UPS guy came late as always when I'm waiting for something. Anyway:
It's gonna be nice enough for the OL to take a ride on her new thrown this week so we're gonna ride it for a few days before I take the rack back off to have it powder coated. If any one wants to see anything specific let me know and I'll get some more pics before I take it apart.
hai Craig, I loved the look of 14 TP!
Very interesting to put it to my 11 CVO SG.. after read until page 18, I Saw you and zproud have successfully install it..
Just wondering what the right part numbers of every part are. Can I know them ?
In my opinion, these are what I need :
-14 king TP
-53000221 (new mounting rack)
-52300354 (new 4 point docking black)
- backrest
- set of key lock.
please give me advise about the exact part numbers and how-to install them correctly.

54246-09A is the part number for the docking hardwear you need to use. If you have a docking kit on the bike now you don't need a new one. Also add the screws for the barrel lock. The part numbers are in the first post of this thread.
I added a set of used 14 harley speaker pods, I used the rear speaker pins on the back of the factory radio, I ran the rear speaker wires when I added the power wires for the front amp. I used the harley plug and pins to hook to the factory pods wire harness. Could not find the part # bike side was a 15 pin plug and 4 male pins, radio side was 4 female pins, you will need a molex crimp tool to make your like easy, a radio flash will be needed for fade controls to work, I did not do the flash. As far as adding the bass port for the rear speaker pods, I was told it did not have any good results and I did not add the bass port.
