Just got off phone with James at LRS.. I have a slight crack in the center hole due to MY error. not tightened enough for fear of cracking... buffering wind on Hwy... yes it cracked anyway.. James is sending a new one and free return... can't say enough about a sponsor and American company big Thumbs up!!
Hmm, I'm going to give him a call. The corner of mine broke off after a 100 miles. I'm pretty sure it was tight enough, but maybe not. Anyways I thought I was going have to eat the cost.
I have a crack near the middle slot as well as a broken piece near the right slot. User error, I think not! I like the looks of the LRS shield but don't want to have it breaking in pieces before it's time.
I have about 300 miles on my windshield and it is cracking in the middle as well. Kind of feathering. I haven't got around to calling them or sending in a pic yet but from the positive posts I have read about them here (which is why I went with them) I am sure they will take care of it.
I've got about 25k on mine between the 2 bikes I've had it on. The only problem I've had with mine is the lower right tab broke off. Hasn't been much of an issue as its hidden where its at. Haven't noticed any cracking.
I have a small crack on the right side of my X-Stream that is probably from over tighting. It seems as if the X Stream has to be tightened down more than my Ultra, probably because of the downforce on the sides. I am using the X-Stream as my summer shield as it allows wind on the sides and I will use the Ultra for Winter. If the crack (only about 1/2 inch showing now) gets any worse I will call them. I have never heard anything negative about them and in fact I referred a friend of mine in Illinois to them and he is waiting to receive his Ultra Shield this week.
#1 for LRS

got my 9"wind blade in 3 days to nc! AWESOME shield. My flat top started cracking in the center. one corner broke off, but that was my fault...so this is my replacement. Love LRS.
Just received my LRS Mako 11", put it on the RGC, and took my first ride, back roads and four lane. Great shield in the medium tint. Effective air control and very easy to look through when going uphill or looking down immediately in front of me. The contours in my previous 12" shield really distorted vision when looking through it. Great clarity.
