Yeah I'm pretty sure it was freak failure of the injectors, unique to my dumb *** running dry of fuel more than once. I just noticed it bad yesterday going to lunch. Today I dedicated to building a batch of chrome fans for a bunch of people who have been waiting patiently. If I got time tomorrow after packaging, I may pull the injectors and take them to one of the local shops to see If I can get it matched up. Maybe even dissected to see what the problem is/was. Meanwhile the new OEMs are available on Ebay for $50 a set. I don't have any issue with the OEM injectors, just checking to see whats out there since I'm going to replace them anyway. It really isn't a topic you run across very often, unless talking about bumping up for more fuel delivery on a performance build.

You may want to consider SE Injectors. I believe they have a different spray pattern for combustion chamber cooling. Then again that might just reduce your mileage.

I found a local injection specialist shop, the MGR looked them up and said they were a dedicated injector, not generic, but by chance he had some from a lot purchase, exact HD part number. $45 each, I got the new ones but left the old ones for assessment/repair/service, hopefully they will have some kind of idea what's up with them, after they get dissected. The take away at this point is don't waste any energy looking for a generic replacement. I'm not going to count my chickens till I get it all back together and running.

Let the ball busting begin. When I was trouble shooting the original problem, I used a noid light to verify signal to the injectors, I only checked the rear because that's where I started and I had signal, no need to check the front. Well apparently the pins on the noid light were slightly larger than the pins on the injector and the sprung the contacts on the injector connector. I pulled the connector apart straightened up the socket pins with a scribe, put it all back together and it works fine. Oh yeah, the injector shop called and my original injectors are ready for pick up, guess I got a spare set now. Thanks again to all.
