I was thinking this myself. It seems to work with a 3rd party oil cooler. Not sure the the fan would work.

The radiator might be located under the seat. Reference Harley's Nova Project.

All this radiator talk is crazy. When you look at the fans designed by jason ward and the job they do to keep the head temps in check, that's all it takes. And besides, they are only needed in stop and go traffic. The rest of the time they are not needed at all.

Most of the heat we feel on the right side of the bike is from the exhaust gases, not the engine. With exhaust temps upward to 1200 F, there isn't much you are going to do about that.

I've owned radiator cooled bikes in the past, but the engine/header would still roast me in stop and go traffic. Sure, the heads were staying within temp constraints, but that was all.

The touring bikes, especially the Ultras, are the bread and butter of HD. That's why you see them getting the attention. And of course, HD was sued because of "heat" by some ****** somewhere a while back.

I'm holding off on all of this I got to have this right now because its ground breaking & new stuff. I can almost guarantee you that in two or three years the 110 will be the new standard motor in the touring bikes & the 120 will be CVO exclusively! I'm not biting until a few years when I see more improvements & the guinea pigs report their problems!
In the mean time my bike works for me just fine!

Might wait to see after the twin cooled motors have been truely road tested this year and next how much of an improvement they actually are compared to the old design. And if the customers are interested in it. Bottom line is to satisfy the customer so they will make the purchase.

You bring up some good points. I can now refer to myself as a Guinea Pig. I bought a 2014 Limited a few days ago in Austin, TX. Just like when I bought my '11 Limited in August of '10, it' was 100 degrees when I left the dealership that afternoon and I can say that the heat I felt wasn't nearly as bad as the previous bike along that same hot, slow stretch of I-35. Yes, there are a LOT of new things on that bike and under the fairing looks totally different (as in I haven't yet figured out how to make the passing lamps stay on when the high beam is on). I time will tell. Right now, I'm loving the way the bike rides good, stops great and goes like a bat outta hell.

The radiator will be above the backbone/under the tank with some sort of scoop to funnel air through there.
