Default ''Soft Lowers''

Has anyone tried both the $60.00 HD bar and shield soft lowers, and the "Airlite'' soft lowers or engine guard chaps as they are referred to?

If so, which would you recommend?

Thanks

I have the HD set and really like them. Cannot tell you anything about the other brand.

I have the Airlite chaps...One piece to put on makes it easy and the screen protects the front of the engine. Good quality product. I'm happy with the product and would recommend them.

...."Bees Knees" my good man...every time I use my "diapers" I'm glad I have em...and what's nice is because they are soft and fold up you can take em off and store em once it warms up...unlike hard lowers..definitely a "must-have" IMO....

My wife and I have these and I have to agree with this quote.

Both of my parents run the Airlite lowers and love them.

Just roadtested the Airlites today starting at 33 degrees on a 180 mile run. My feet stayed actually WARM all day using a couple pair of socks in thinsulate hiking boots, and my chaps. I have put four conchos on mine to dress them up and they really set the bike off nicely. I cut holes thru the bottoms for my low bar running/signal lights to keep visibility up.

All those block too much air to the engine.
I have a Harley set. Even on a cold day, I notice oil temps
over 230. I don't use em any more.
I got a set of those Desert Dawgs off ebay. They don't cover quite as much.
It's enough to keep the cold/rain etc off you, but the engine still gets air.
No noticable change in oil temps.

Plus they look better.

I have a set of Sagebrush Designs - they're great, not the cheapest but I'd buy them again.
