Ok I did my 08 SGlide no abs. Yaffe bars allot of problems getting wire thru. But after I figured out what to do do. I can get it done quick now. Everyone has there best tricks and now so do I.
So.... I did my buddies 12 S glide with ABS.Few more steps but not bad. Bleed the brakes with a power bleeder. Took a while but no air bubbles coming out. Brakes work better than before.
Problem. His ABS light blinks when he starts it. And blinks until he gets going down the road. then it goes out.
We both agree this was not like this. I have read info this. People say this is normal.
The ABS light will blink until the bike hits 3 MPH. Its normal, all ABS bikes that year does it. Mine does it as well. Its nothing but a system check the computor does to ensure the ABS is working.

Is it?/ If not whats wrong? How do you fix it?
I think his bike did exactly the same thing before the bar change, and he just didn't notice it.
Now after someone worked on it, he is a looking at things like that a little more trying to make sure everything is working as it should.
As mentioned, the ABS light will blink after starting the bike and until you get moving.
If it stays on for more than a few feet, then you need to look into it more.
Sounds normal to me. My bike doesn't have ABS, but my BMW did and the light would flash until it was rolling. You'd a "click-click" sound and the light would go off.
