Default side air deflectors

I am looking at installing some side fairing air deflectors on my 06 Ultra. I have seen many different types. Who has an opinion on which is the best and easiest to operate while riding?

Welcome to the forum.

As for your questions about air deflectors for your Ultra, I installed some called Dragons Wings that I purchased through J&P. They cost me around $100 but I really like the way they function but I worry about some dirt bag come up to the bike and trying to open/close them without knowing how to do it properly. If they aren't operated correctly they can break and that would really **** me off...Other then that, I really like them.

I have the Freedom Wings (www.freedom-wings.com/) and like them. They adjust to block the wind, let it be directed into the rider, or anything in between. They have rubber protective trim on the edges, but what concerns me is that at the top makes contact with the fairing, and each time you move them they rub in that area. I called them about that and they said there had never been a problem, so I'm going to watch it. If nothing else, I could stick some clear protective film in the contact area which would protect the paint. They've been on for three months and there is no sign of abrasion yet.

Based on function alone, they work very well, and look good, too.

The air diverters that Ihave, the Dragon Wings as they are called in the J&P catalog, are the same ones that Avocado has a link to. In order to open or close them you have to grab the inner part and push them straight down. This action unlocks them from their holder and allows them to be positioned in about four different positions. From fully closed to fully opened. Like I stated in my posting I like them but I'm concerned that someone who doesn't know how to operate them will attempt to do just that and break one. [:@]

Dragon Wings are made by Kuryakyn who also sells them to HD. I got mine at a great price from M&M and love them.
