Been back riding for a bit over a year now after a 30 year hiatus to raise the family and pay college etc. I rode through the cold last year with a crappy coat......but promised myself a nice one this year.
I bit the bullet on a Fox Creek Grayson.
WOW...what quality! Customer service is incredible there also! I had to return my first jacket because it was a bit tight. They had the replacement shipped before I took the first one to the PO to mail it back.
Back to the coat....heavy soft leather...heavy duty zippers....this is gonna last forever!
Next up...some heated Gerbings gloves
I bought the same jacket a couple weeks ago and could not be happier with it. Great fit, looks and construction, worth every penny!
Grayson for me; I have heard they run a bit small, but mine fits perfectly. I took the measurements requested and ordered what the website calculator suggested and it fits great.
Having said that, if you're someone that likes to layer clothes I would probably call and ask their opinion on sizes.
There are four Fox Creek jackets in the harfooz household. Except for really hot or really wet weather, they are the best jackets I've ever worn. Treated them with Nikwax to help keep the water from getting the leather soaked.
The fit is snug, if you're comparing to a non-motorcycle jacket, but the fit is right for riding.
I love these guys the make a lot of jackets for police departments. Nypd CHP and other department,I have their chaps so far saving for my winter jacket and all American leather ! http://www.800branded.com/
