Default Jim's 134 vs 120R

About to pull the trigger on a new street glide. My current ride is a 2012 streetglide with 120R and love the power. So far not a minutes trouble out of that motor. With that said I'd always like more power. How is reliability on the Jim's? I know they have a warranty vs none on the 120.

Jims=bad. Lots of proprietary parts on their engines, you will need the warranty, poor customer service, need I go on?

RUN as fast as you can away from a Jim's Motor!

S&S 124" would be a much better choice.

I could be full of crap but does not the S&S124 have a better crank that the HD 120? However from just a budgetary point of view, the HD 120 is good value.

S&S now has a engine case for the 07 & up touring. Case can be ordered for 4 3/8" bore cylinders. It will require S&S SA cylinders and heads. You could have a 131 built or even a 145" depending on the stroke. The 145" might need some frame clearance work done though

Also the new S&S cases would require some machining that would allow you to open the engine case for the current flow and return port in the stock case to keep from using the oil line kit S&S offers that require transmission case modifications

That news was only released a few days ago, so the option wasn't available previously. And we all thought Harley wouldn't sanction anyone else copying the current crank-case design!

They told me on the phone in October of 2012 that there was one in the works. ether way it still runs great! seen them and touched them in Sturgis this year, very nice product as usual.

I wonder how long till a trick set if liquid cooled heads are available. That also has my interest perked.
