I am deployed and went over to the Exchange Car sales here and talked to them about buying a 2014 Street Glide.
They start by garanteeing the lowest price and discount the bike 1800 dollars off MSRP from the jump. I added the security system and the total he qouted me for the bike was $20, 413 (without taxes).
Has anyone been getting better deals than that?
He also told me that the Street Glide with the 4.3" screen does NOT have Navigation and they do NOT come standard with ABS?
Never count another mans money don't worry about what others get.
If I were you I would get ABS these new bikes stop on a dime with the ABS linked brakes
At a glance your price is going to be on the lower end if they knock $1800 off the top. I have no idea what your tax is my tax ended up pretty low with the huge trade in and I threw some cash at it to.
No built in navigation but the radio is awesome and I can follow a map if need. LoL
Hands down my 14 street glide is a better bike than my 10 street glide.
From what I've gathered only the Street Glide Special comes standard with the upgraded GPS system, ABS, and Security. Make sure you read up on buying from Exchange sales. I almost bought a bike through them on my last deployment because I was loured in by not paying taxes. You need to check with your state you'll be registering your bike through. In Nebraska you still have to pay sales tax no matter what. So "Tax free" just meant you didn't pay taxes to AAFES but the State still wants their money. Good luck on whatever you decide to do.
Sam...I definitley will count another man's money if it will let me know if I have a good deal going here or need to look elsewhere.
Chris, I have already researched the tax info in Washington and I will have to pay sales tax. So, that will be another 1500 or so on top of the $20, 413...putting it just under $23,000.
I just need to know if others have gotten OTD prices less than that?
To me, if the money is close you might be better off getting a bike from a dealer when you get back. Depending on when you get back, if it's getting into winter time, dealers are more willing to deal because they aren't moving bikes. Plus you can actually see the bike you're getting. Are you keeping the Wide Glide? If you trade in, you'll save a lot on taxes. Although you won't get as much as a private sale, lots of things to consider. See if you can talk down the exchange guy even more... after all, they're still basically car salesmen.

I will be selling the WG this week so I will be going in clear.
