trying to find a good speaker/ amp combo for my RG, i ran the fosgate amp and hertz speakers in my street glide and was pretty pleased with it. but would like to know if there are better options out now that i should be looking at.
also looking at a solution for my AUX cord, i cant find a good way to run it that doesnt look bad or doesnt have it laying on a painted surface. im trying to see if there is something that i can make it wireless somehow maybe not possible but with the tech today i figure there might be a way to do it.
I have the j&m 7.25s with an amp pushing them. My husband has the arc audio moto 602s with an amp pushing them. Out of the two systems, mine sounds better (he will tell you this also). In my opinion, there aren't many speakers out there that out perform those j&ms. I wasn't a believer until we had an amp hooked up to them, but man they are beast like now!
With the stock head unit and just Fairing speakers the RF pbr 2channel is a great amp. Hertz are good speakers too. May want to check out Polk mm651 and Biketronics Titan (HAT) speakers or if got the bucks, Focal Ks. Don't know of any Bluetooth options with stock head unit? The audio section is there to help.
Change the head unit. Sell it and buy an aftermarket car one, more power and better sound. The hertz will work good. Add a amp to the saddle bag. With the aftermarket head units you can buy a aux cable long enough to go from the back of the radio to the saddle bag, clean look and still works off the handle bars.

You obviously havent heard other systems or setups. I had the rokker combo and it was blown away by a set of 5.25 speakers from my local stereo shop that were installed on my riding buddies' bikes. Guess which ones I have now? And they cost $200 less. You should probably get out a little more.
I saw a guy with one of these hooked you to an extention and tucked out of the way.
I'm thinking of getting one and velcro it to my inner fairing. Putting my phone in a ram mount pluged to a charger and blue tooth pandora.

You're probably right, I do need to get out more. Most the folks around here don't spend money on upgrading audio, I did. I'm still looking to upgrade...mind sharing what kinda 5.25's those were? (not to hijack a thread) I'll be adding speakers in my saddlebags pretty soon.
