You'll get many different opinions, it also depends on what price range you're talking about. Right now I'm running Hawgwired amps with 2 sets of Focal, one pair Polk MM series, and one pair of Infinity. IMO the Focals sound best, but bang for buck belongs to the Infinity's. I've been through J&M, RF (amps and speakers), and a few more. There's a lot out there and a lot more opinions, listen to a few before you decide, I also agree with changing out the HU, that will open up a whole new world of sound.

I believe biketronics makes a cover, that will be useful on the road glide as the stereo is gonna get rain on it if you get stuck in the rain. All the guys I ride with here in Illinois are running alpines. Biketronics also makes the adapter that allows u to use the hand controls on the bars still. I love my alpine and sounds great!

sony makes a head unit that has an opening behind the faceplate the will hold iPod or iPhone and charge it while its playing, then u won't need to worry about aux cables.

I'm running a Kenwood with biketronics kit. Sounds great (JL amp + polk and JL speakers) and have basic functions on hand controls. I hear Sony and Alpine work best with the hand control kits?
