Just a "Heads-Up" for those who are planning to install the Saddlebag Guard Rails on your bike. I installed the rails on my '14 Limited and they look great. I'm on my 4th Ultra and just couldn't get use to the look without the rails. The instructions included with the kit leave out a Very Important step though, you need to remove the shock absorber to be able to route the rails through the saddlebag support. I did mine one side at a time so it was not a difficult task to do, just make sure you keep the shock upright so you don't loose any of the oil in the shock.
Enjoying the new bike more on each ride - the "Twin Cooled" has worked flawless so far.

I just installed the same bag rails on my 14 Ultra. I just wrapped the end of the rails in a towel, and they slid right through. It's tight, and you have to be patient, but it works. The Limited might have different rear shocks. I don't know.
Glad it worked OK for you. I was in a hurry and I guess I just wasn't patient enough this time. The shocks are the same on the Ultra & the Limited. It was easy though after I removed the shocks but glad you were able to get them on as advertised in the instructions. I Do Like the extra protection the rails provide and am glad I installed them.

The left rail slid right through, but the right rail had to be coaxed through the slot with a towel. I don't think the clearance on the right shock was any different, but it was a bit more difficult. The extra protection was worth the cost. The addition of the steel guard surrounding the quick release fasteners on the 14's, means no more worries about a screwdriver separating you from your bags. Quick release bag fasteners can stay! Enjoy your Limited!
Installed a set of these on my 14' RK the other day. They do not go on as advertised. The shock is in the way. What I did was remove the clamp piece on the forward end to shorten up the bar enough for clearance to make the turn. I also had to loosen the rear lighting housing so the turn signal housings could move out of the way enough to clear. Took a little while to figure out but in the end I got them on without having to mess with the shocks.
