I traveled from Ohio to Florida the last two days. Along the way I stopped at HD dealers in Cincinnati, OH, Columbia, TN, Pelham, Alabama, and Panama City Beach, FL. It was interesting to see the differences in prices on new 2013 touring bikes.
The dealerships in Cincinnati and Columbia had huge markdowns, 2-3k.
One of them (I can't remember which) had a 2013 Road King priced at $15.9k
The dealers in Alabama and Florida were still selling their 2013s at full retail.
So the lesson is, if you're in the market for a new 2013, look around you may find a great deal!
I just bought a 13 Road Glide. They started off at a 1000 off It came down to 3 dealers that had the color I wanted. I worked them against each other down to 1800 of then got some freebie stuff like a cover and a couple of t-shirts.

They actually used a couple of t-shirts as a bargaining tool on a $20,000 + bike?

15.9 on a Road King is a good deal! Really not all that much difference between a 13 and 14 King at this point!
