Anybody get the new version led haeadlamp yet part #67700173 ?
If so what do you think of how it lights things up. I'm liking the looks of it and thinking of pulling the trigger on one.
nope, but probably should have. i got the other LED headlights as i saw them in the 2014's. great on the highway but not really suited for the back roads in my opinion. i do a lot of night riding and deer are a problem....seeing the deer early is paramount. i'm finding that the stock gave better field of view. from the description, it sounds like these might do that also. i think i saw a 2014 SG Special with them on. looked good but don't know if they were stock or add on. good luck.
not the answer you looking for but if you want light , look into HIDs , I put a 55 watt dual beam in mine and it is fantastic , day or night , and a bunch cheaper
The DayMakers are awesome best money for an accessory I ever spent. Had them on while in Sturgis and I was able to see the deer on the sides of the road much sooner
My wife and I had the pleasure of riding Vail Pass last night, around 930PM. No moon out last night, and it wouldn't have mattered anyway.
It was raining/sleeting and a thunderstorm to boot. I've ridden some really nasty weather over the past several years, and last night was easily in the top three worst experiences. My wife was a trooper though, I must say.
Anyway, all that to say this - I know you're asking about the Daymakers for an FLH bike, but the Daymakers on my FLTRXSE were worth twice the price last night. I really love the brightness of them and the pure white - not yellow - light. I'm convinced that if I had halogen lights last night, my confidence would have been much lower on the pass.
It's a lot to plunk down on lighting, but I sincerely doubt you would be disappointed with the performance of the Daymakers.
