I don't think the new style is for the RGs. The 5 3/4" light and the 7" light have been changed a little bit.
I do know that now, the low beams stay on when high beams are turned on. But, it's always been that way on the RG Daymakers.
If anyone considers the cost to be high, and says you can buy a bunch of halogen lights for the same cost, that may be true.
But - the LED's perform better, not just last longer or run cooler, or draw less amperage. The lights are brighter, the pattern is more tight, and the pure white light does a superb job at illuminating the roadways and shoulders.
We have critters all over in Colorado, especially the high country. It gets dark early here when the sun is blocked by the Rockies. I wouldn't own another Harley without these lights.
There's more truth to the name of the light than people give credit to.
Love that they lows stay on when you have the highs on. People are constantly flashing their brights at me, sometimes even during the day (I love that!), and no, they are not mis-aligned.
I'm reading that the HID lights last longer, run cooler, and are better than the LED and Halogen lights. Is anybody finding this to be true?
well have seen some of the LEDs that you can hardly see in the day light , I all ways get remarks about how well you can see mine , can not really compare to the LEDs but for around $50 I love my HIDs , running 55 watt dual beam in the headlight and 35 watts in my spots
Apparently alot of people arent aware that there is a newLED light available from Harley " Daymaker LED Reflector Headlamp". Looks more like a traditional headlight and costs less. As the OP asked, I wonder how it compares to the "Daymaker LED Lamp" ?
My roadglide daymakers the low stays on with the high. I just installed them amazing as i suspected. I had a led daymaker on my dyna years ago. This time i remembered to take a before shot and then an after shot on a dark road. Don't have any idea how to post those photos here there, but huge difference.
