It would be a great time to do it. I put progressive springs on my fxd and it cured the excessive diving and clunk I was getting in my front end. Maybe not the best option but for the 60.00 it cost me it was a very worthwhile investment.
The recommended Race Tech springs, the GV emulators, the right preload and oil and you will not believe the difference. Drain the oil in the OEM rear shocks and replace with 7W. I am assuming you can drain the OEM rear shocks on the '10 models like you can on the early models.
I have had Progressive springs, Progressive springs with gold valves, Racetech springs with gold valves and race-tech springs with Ricor valves. Both the race-tech setups are very good, with the Ricors winning out. Both the valves take a little tuning but well worth it.
Still researching but am leaning towards Race Tech springs with the Ricor Intiminators. Hoping fabrik8r/WardsPartsWerks is still doing the Ricor upgrade. Will be PM'ing him soon. Only concern for me is I come in at close to 300 lbs which calls for a 1.167 and the largest they offer are 1.0. Not sure if I should look at other manufactures or if the 1.0 will work OK.

Got you covered, PM me when you're ready. Traxxion will have what you need, or make it, you'll have to call and order them, make sure to specify single rate and don't let them talk you into a different rate. I would recommend 1.15KG.
