I have tried everything I can think of or others have recommended to get my wife comfortable for more than 100 miles on our bike. She has a bad history with her hamstring so it causes a lot of pain on her sits bones when riding. Here is what we have and have done:
2013 Road King - stock seat for me but for her the seat was sent to MCC and the Wide Double Decker Passenger was done based on her size. Also installed the CVO leather tourpack for comfort (http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...ur-pak-luggage). I also have the high end Airhawk passenger seat cushion that doesn't help and she never uses.
Any other ideas you have come across that helped your wife/girlfriend? I spoke to the dealer today and I have ZERO complaints about my bike, love everything but I got the bike for us and not me so he wants me to take an Ultra out to see if the lower foot boards helps get the pressure off of her rear end and more on the back of her legs. I love the Ultras but want to make the Road King work somehow if possible.
I wouldn't be surprised if your CVO tour pack isn't the problem.
The first time my wife and I rode my 2011 CVO Road Glide, she was practically in tears. She loved the other Road Glide we rode, but couldn't get comfortable on the CVO.
The problem was the CVO tour pack backrest pushed her to far forward, and there was no room on the back seat.
The answer is the tour pack relocator plate that George Anderson sells. It moves the tour pack back about 2 1/2 inches, and makes the room in the back seat perfect.
Search for George Anderson on the forum for more info. George is a great guy to do business with.
My wife calls the back seat on our Ultra the "Queen Seat" It's made for touring comfort. She loves it. Says she won't ride on the back of anything else........until we get our 2015 Limited!!!
Kuryakyn has a couple of different multi positional passenger peg set ups that may help. Being able to change foot positions periodically during riding may help change pressure spots and allow her to feel more comfort. I know your dilemma, I have a short wife, and had to do some work to get her comfortable.
My OL is a tiny little thing, but I got a Sundowner seat, sheepskin, and passenger boards with adjustable pegs. She STILL bitches if we don't stop after a couple of hours in the saddle.
Maybe a different seat ? Lots of people love teh mods done by MCC but for some it is the actual shape and size of the orginal seat that is the problem...
ALSO DONT LISTEN TO A SALES GUY on how to fix your current ride. He isnt looking for solutions he is looking to sell you a new bike.
Lots of companies will allow you to return products seats floor boards ect so I would would start playing with options Dennis Kirk has a great return policy. If you are going to go to Harley at least do your talking with the parts guy NOT the sales staff.
another thing to remember is all touring bikes are made with the same frame so if something on another touring bike makes it comfortable you can likely find a version that will fit on yours without taking a bath on a trade just to get a more comfortable seat.
From: South Carolina-First to secede and hopefully the next.
The only thing that pizzed the OL off about me trading bikes was giving up "her seat' on the '06 RG. Same MCC mod you had done, King TP, and adjustable footboard mounts. She referred to it as her throne.
Test ride an Ultra to see how she likes it as far as seating goes.

Same problem with my bike... moved the tour pac and all is happy again.. Georges Plate works great!
I would also suggest getting your foot positioned for comfort. If she's having hamstring problems then she needs to stretch her legs out more, also try adjusting the angle of the peg
